About Me

My name is Clayton Vondriska. I am a marine behavioral ecologist interested in symbiotic relationships and the behavior of the organisms within them. I have primarily focused on parasite-host-cleaner relationships on Caribbean coral reefs. I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Miami with Dr. Paul Sikkel studying the sensory ecology of marine parasites. I received my Master’s in Biology from Arkansas State University where I studied chemical communication in parasitic gnathiid isopods. I also completed my Bachelor’s in Zoology at The Ohio State University while working with Drs. Meg Daly and Ben Titus, where I conducted research on the behavior of cleaning organisms in the Caribbean.
